The Garden of My Life

Today I reap a great harvest
As I gather rewards of seeds planted.
A beautiful garden I see everyday
Because I have nourished great values.

The sun does coax the seedlings out,
And the rain will quench its thirst.
But I must daily pull the weeds
That weakens the tender root.

Just as the farmer prepares his soil,
I must cultivate every part of my life
With lessons of love and integrity
To strengthen against the storms that toss.

My soul has been tilled, fertilized and refined.
And I watch what grows within me
A greater wealth I am willing to share
As the seeds forever live on.
